Philip R. Andrews
As a founding member of Morse Bratt Andrews & Foster PLLC, Phil has remained true to his vision of building a small, client friendly law firm that is dedicated to helping our fellow community members with their legal challenges. "The versatility of our firm is becoming a rarity in this era of specialization."
Phil's practice is limited to civil law, and that covers a fair amount of legal terrain. He enjoys helping clients solve and prevent problems in probate, real estate, personal injury and business matters.
He credits much of his success to his extensive, varied and non-legal background in business, real estate, and management, beginning in the San Diego commercial contracting industry in the mid-1980s where he co-founded, grew and managed a profitable multi-million dollar contracting corporation. A lengthy and successful career outside of the law gave Phil unique insight into how to deliver legal services in a way that is both effective and understandable to the client. "Regardless of the specific legal issue at hand, I understand what it is like to hire an attorney to resolve difficult issues, to have my own money on the line, to make a large payroll each week, and to understand possible solutions to problems have costs and benefits." Phil has problem solved and litigated cases in Clark, Cowlitz, Skamania, Pierce, Thurston, Yakima, Lewis, Lincoln and Chelan Counties in Washington State.
Outside of work, Phil serves on various boards of directors for firms both non-profit and for-profit. Phil is past vice-chair of Columbia Credit Union.
On a personal note, Phil is married to an elementary school teacher and they reside in Vancouver with their two dogs, an old Shepherd named Oly and a young Staffy named Spot. When not engaged in a legal battle in or out of the courtroom, you may find him up in Olympia renovating a 47 year old wooden TollyCraft boat originally built in Kelso, Washington.
